I did not set out to tell this story.

For a long time, I tried to live quietly inside it. I believed silence was a form of safety. That faith required restraint. That some truths were better left unnamed. Like many people, I learned early how to listen more than I spoke. How to carry questions without answers. How to belong without fully arriving.

 

A Voice in the Dark grew out of that space.

This series is inspired by lived experience. Years spent navigating identity, belief, love, and loss while trying to remain honest with myself and with the world around me. It is shaped by memory. By friendships that carried more weight than words. By the slow realization that silence, while protective, can also be isolating.

 

I am a filmmaker and storyteller. More than that, I am someone still learning how to listen. To others. To faith. To the quieter truths that surface when we stop rushing toward certainty. My work is grounded in restraint, intimacy, and attention to moments most stories move past too quickly.

 

I believe stories do not always need to resolve in order to matter. Some exist simply to be witnessed. Some offer companionship rather than answers. A Voice in the Dark is one of those stories.
